LOWER CREEK’S WMU 1913-2014

The WMU (Women's Missionary Union) was organized at Lower Creek Baptist Church on July 28, 1913, by Mrs. J.A. Boldin. The primary focus has always been to study, pray, and give to missions to advance the cause of Christ at home and around the world.

The ladies of Lower Creek Baptist Church want to honor & serve the Lord through their lives, actions, & testimony. In 2013 we celebrated our 100th year of having WMU at Lower Creek. Thousands have heard the Gospel because of the giving to the Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, Heck-Jones, N.C. Missions Offering, & other offerings each year. Through special projects, prayers, & giving, many have seen what can be accomplished when we work together and let Christ minister to the needs of a hurting world using our hands & our feet to do the work that He commands us to do. Thank you, as a church, for supporting home & foreign missions! Let's ask God what else He wants us to be involved in as we seek to serve Him! Please pray for the ladies of LCBC!

Women's Missonary Union of N.C. is a missions organization whose purpose is to challenge, prepare, and equip Christian believers to be radically involved in the fulfillment of the Great Commissions: Matthew 28: 19-20: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen"

Please consider joining us in one of our 3 WMU Groups!

We have 43 ladies attending at least one group at Lower Creek.

The Dorcas meetings consists of prayer & devotional time & then working on various projects. Not all projects require sewing skills.

All ladies are welcome & encouraged to join the Dorcas Group.
